The seven interconnected walks, totalling 25 km, have been maintained by the Cloonfad community and are the same routes used by their ancestors when trading in the local villages, going to school or visiting a neighbour for a session!

Set amidst unspoilt forestry on the northern slopes of Slieve Dart, not far from Ballinlough, you can retrace the footsteps of generations of Irish people and enjoy the peace found in nature, or even bring your family along! The 'Derrylahan Loop' is an 8 km nationally recognised looped walk and 90% of the walks are off the main road network.

The Derrylahan Resource Centre is at the heart of the walks and is an ideal starting point with facilities such as a kitchen, bathrooms and outdoor picnic benches. More recently gym equpiment has been installed in the centre and a grass court has been laid to the rear of the building.

Lynches Castle can be seen on the Clogher section of the Cloonfad Looped Walks

You can also find one of six map boards at the centre, each one outlining the colour coded and arrowed routes.
