Hillview House, a 4 bedroom, self catering bungalow, is situated outside the town and is perfect for a family looking for a country break in the West of Ireland.

Ballaghaderreen is an ideal starting point for a holiday in the west of Ireland. It is located 5 km from a golf course and there are a further 2 golf courses within a 20 km radius. There are also lakes in the vicinity for fishing and the Douglas Hyde Centre is within easy driving distance.

The town is only a stone's throw from County Mayo, with Ireland West Airport Knock and Knock Shrine in particular within easy reach. Visitors to the Ballaghaderreen area can also delve into the anomoly of the local GAA club being part of the Mayo league, but it's probably best not to do so if Roscommon are playing Mayo around the time of your visit!

Like many regions of county Roscommon, Ballaghaderreen has plenty to offer visitors who have an interest in history, with hill forts and a neolithic tomb in Fairlymount Hill, Aughurine Stone Circle, ringforts and nearby Loughglynn House and Loughglynn Castle.
